To All Ciaran's Fans...

I'm updating for December and January now. So the updates are backdated. We had a camera malfunction and were missing important pictures. I should be all caught up in the next few days. Sorry for the delay!

Rain, Rain, come again!!

It rained today, which made us very happy. Ciaran, being originally from Oregon, felt right at home. Andrew took him outside so they could enjoy the weather while it lasted.

We also had a nice visit with our friend Karen. She and I have a tradition of going out for Bloody Mary's on Sundays. Today we stayed in and Andrew acted as our bartender. We had quiche, bagels and fruit. It was yummy!

Still at it...

Tummy Time that is. Ciaran is so strong, we think he is going to start crawling soon. When he is on his tummy he kicks his feet so hard, and moves his arms back and forth. Andrew sometimes puts his hands behind Ciaran's feet and lets him push off. He can go the whole length of his mat just from pushing off Dada.

I LIKE TO TALK REALLY LOUD!

In the past few days it seems like Ciaran's volume control has malfunctioned. He has been talking really loudly!!! We think he just really wants to make sure he is heard loud and clear.

4 Months!

We almost forgot to take Ciaran's four month pictures. We remembered right before bedtime so he's in in pajamas and looks pretty tired. At least we got it!

Seth & Michelle, Take 2

You may remember back in October when we tried to meet some friends in Portland. Ciaran had a major freak out and we ended up not being able to see them. Today we tried to meet up with them again, and this time it was a success! It was so great to see Seth and Michelle and Ciaran really liked them.

Meet Mr. Moose

This is Mr. Moose. He is Ciaran's favorite toy and the first one he's really shown any interest in. Ciaran loves to give him kisses on the nose, eat his antlers and play with his feet. When Ciaran starts to get restless, Mr. Moose will often come sit by him and help calm him down.

Sucker!

Ciaran has started trying to suck his fingers. He can't quite decide which finger he wants to suck. Sometimes he gets his thumb in his mouth, sometimes it's his middle fingers, and sometimes his whole hand ends up in there.

Ciaran's 1st Birthday Party

No, not a party celebrating his first year of life, the first birthday party that he was invited to and attended. It was to celebrate the birthday of two of his best friends, Candace and Audrey. Candace turned 4 years old and her little sister turned 1. Candace told me that Ciaran couldn't come to her party, but he could come to Audrey's. So although they were at the same time and place, make no mistake, he was only attending as Audrey's guest.

It was a princess/prince themed party so the kids were supposed to dress up as their favorite royal character/superhero. Ciaran wore his Darth Vader shirt. In case you are not as cool (read nerdy) as we are: Darth Vader was a Sith Lord. He indeed qualifies as royalty, albeit evil royalty. I'm hoping he wore it because it was his only choice and not because he aspires to be on the darkside.

If you look at the far end of the bouncy you can see a pair of adult sized legs. Ciaran laid on my chest while they inflated the bouncy. He loved it, although I felt a little silly :)
